SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) — The Norwegian Epic cruise ship crashed into a pier in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on Tuesday, causing damage to the ship's hull but no reported injuries among the passengers.

Norwegian Cruise Line said in a statement that the crash was caused by prevailing winds that pushed the ship into the pier as it was attempting to dock. Passengers on board the ship captured the incident in photos, which show deep scars along the Norwegian Epic's hull.

The cruise line said that all passengers were safely disembarked and that the ship is undergoing repairs. The Norwegian Epic was on a seven-day voyage from New York City.
